1.Who we are

2.What Stair Studio is

Stair Studio is a design aid. It helps you model a staircase, see how it measures up against common Australian safety rules for home staircases, and export a drawing. It runs entirely in your web browser.

It is not certified engineering, a building approval, or professional advice, and it does not replace review and sign-off by a qualified engineer or building surveyor. Please read our disclaimer in full.

3.Using the free tool

You may use the free features — 3D modelling, the safety-check panel, templates, saved designs and watermarked previews — for your own personal or business projects. You're responsible for the designs you create and how you use them.

4.Pro licence & payment

• Pro is a one-off purchase that unlocks clean, watermark-free SVG and PNG exports.
• Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as the merchant of record and handle the transaction, tax (including GST) and your payment details. We never see your full card details.
• After purchase you receive a licence key. Activating it stores the key in your browser and unlocks Pro on that device.
• A licence is for your own use. Please don't share, resell or publish your key.

5.Acceptable use

When using Stair Studio, please don't:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• copy, resell or rebrand the tool as your own;
• attempt to bypass the Pro paywall or licence checks;
• interfere with, overload or reverse-engineer the service.

6.Your designs and data

Your designs are saved in your own browser, on your device — we don't store them on a server. You keep ownership of everything you create. Clearing your browser storage will delete your saved designs, so keep your own copies of anything important. See our privacy policy for detail.

7.Our intellectual property

The Stair Studio name, software, design and content belong to us. Using the tool doesn't transfer any of those rights to you. The drawings you produce are yours.

8.No warranty

Stair Studio is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we don't promise it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular project. Nothing here limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.

9.Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of Stair Studio — including any reliance on its checks, drawings or outputs. Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to re-supplying the service or refunding what you paid for it.

10.Changes

We may update the tool or these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use Stair Studio after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11.Governing law
